A 90 minute independent film produced and filmed entirely in Key West, Florida. It follows the adventures of a man who collects souls for the Devil. For the second year running Marrero Studio has competed in the Miami 48hr Film Fest. Once again the rules were simple - 48 hours to write, direct, produce and edit a 7 minute short film within a randomly drawn genre. Our genre this time - Comedy.  After an exhuasting 48 hours we had our finished product entitled - Shrimp Tails. The resulting short takes place entirely in the Stock Island shrimp yards and was filmed before an intoxicated audience of shrimpers.  View the short here

Fun in the sun! There are harder ways to make a living than cruising around on the water all day. We recently updated the photo catalog for several of Fury Watersports key attractions, including the glassbottom boat and snorkeling adventure, as well as provided large format photos for their Keys billboards. The original "Key West Picture Show" aired in 1978, twenty years later the sequel is born. Funded through the Studio of Key West, "The Return of the Key West Picture Show" is a collection of shorts from various contributing local artists. Marrero Studio in partnership with David Sloan created the key stone 30 minute piece of the project entitled "The Stock Island Picture Show". The short is a journey through Key West's often neglected neighbor, Stock Island, and is hosted by local celebrity Michael "Champ" Jolly. "Return of the Key West Picture Show" is currently enjoying a sold out run at the Tropic Cinema. View a clip here

Produced as a companion piece to the Playa Pristina sales video. This short documentary addresses the issue of development and tourism on fragile eco systems such as Bocas del Toro, Panama. View video

Marrero Studio was hired to relaunch all visual media content for Florida Keys College, exploring their new marketing theme of "Island Living, Island Learning". The project highlights several of their unique programs, including their renowned diving school. Deliverables to include 2 national HD television ads.

This charity event (the type that only happens in Key West) was hosted by Dr. Rock Soloman. The goal was to bring several local photographers and models (mostly strippers) together for a down and dirty photo shoot. I decided to take a different angle and approach the event from a behind the scenes perspective.

Front Street on Stock Island can be hard to find but once you do you are in for a treat. It is a taste of what the Florida keys used to be. Marrero Studio recently did a photo shoot for the new Fish Busterz fishery where the old Bama Seafood used to be. The photos can be viewed on their website http://www.fishbusterz.com/ and will be available on our site shortly.

Another hurricane season has passed and for the second year running we have been (fingers crossed) hurricane free. Hurricane Wilma - The Untold Story has reached its two year anniversary with over 5000 copies in circulation and was recently used in the State Legislature to show the effects the storm had on the Florida Keys. It has also been used throughout state schools in hurricane preparation classes. View trailer here

The results were interesting, to say the least, and a good view as to what happens when 5 delirious men are set with the task of crafting a romantic short film. Notice the ax over the guy's shoulder in the picture? That should give you a hint. View the short here

In 2005 Marrero Studio was hired to document the demolition of the historic steam plant that used to power Key West. The first series of photos is now available for view in our photo section. The final portfoilio will be displayed in a museum dedicated to the steam plant.

What do you get when you toss two photgraphers, one art director and a drunk writer in a broken down RV for a 2 week, 1500 mile,  zig-zagging road trip across Cuba? To be honest, we're still trying to figure it out ourselves. But I do know we got some great photos, met some true characters and learned way more than we needed to know about ourselves.

Marrero Studio was commissioned to produce a 10 minute sales video, a promotional documentary, and three photographic portfolios for Mathews Development Company. The project required an extended production schedule in the country of Panama and will provide all advertising and media content for what is to be one of the world's first 100% green developments.View video or visit thevillageatplayapristina.com
